FEDERAL SKILL WORKER PROGRAM
The Federal Government of Canada released a federal skill worker program for managing skilled workers’ applications for PR. The program covers engineers, lawyers, IT, and other professionals in popular subjects. Qualified immigrant applicants can use Canada’s Express Entry system to become permanent residents of Canada.
Eligible Candidates under Federal Skilled Worker Program can apply for Express Entry. And will be evaluated with the obtained score under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The eligibility criteria to submit an Express Entry for the Federal Skill Worker Program are provided below:
Criteria
Age Points: On the day of application – 12 points
Education: If you studied in Canada, a copy of the degree, diploma, or certificate is required. If we look at other nations, an assessment of a CIC-approved agency is needed to prove that education is equivalent to Canadian credentials – 25 points.
Language Proficiency in English, French, or both to help you to get maximum marks on the tests like IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, and DUOLINGO- 28 points
Work Experience: Full-time with a minimum of 30 hours per week or equivalent part-time at skill type 0, A, or B as per National Occupational Classification (NOC) – 15 points
Adaptability: If you and your spouse are immigrating to Canada jointly, they have options to get up to 10 extra points (Like previously studied, worked, or have relatives in Canada, combining language skills & based on eligibility. These points are awarded to ensure economy and adaptability when they immigrate together.- 10 points.
Arranged employment in Canada: On obtaining a job offer of a minimum of one year in Canada – 10 points
Total: 100 points
